20 Oct Warfield Park Landlord of the Year
We often refer to ourselves (unofficially) as the leading park home location in the South East, but recently we won the Regional Housing Association/Landlord of the Year at the South East Energy Efficiency Awards to really drive our achievements home.
Like most of us, we hate to blow our own trumpets, but when you work as hard as our team does and are recognised for it by your peers and awards bodies, we think it fitting to publicise the achievement.
If you are thinking of making the move to a park home and would like to speak to a member of our team, call us on 01344 884 666 or email us.
The Awards Dinner
It’s been a long and difficult period for us all, the pandemic has hit many businesses and people hard and as we start to drift back to normality, or the new normality, attending an awards dinner still felt taboo.
However, instead of being hosted in an underground speakeasy in the heart of London, our very own James Sumner, associate director (pictured left) and Jenny Holder, lettings negotiator (pictured right), donned their glad rags for an evening of awards and fine dining at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at London Gatwick Airport at the beginning of October (2021).
The award reflects the continued commitment Warfield Park has shown to energy efficiency to transform the lives of its residents and tenants and is the third the park has won in recent years.
James Sumner said:
“This is the culmination of several projects we have progressed to improve energy efficiency across our whole site in recent years. This award specifically covers the works we have undertaken on our rental properties. I am particularly proud of our lettings negotiator Jenny Holder (photo right) who has continued to look for and to bring forward energy efficiency improvements to our rental properties for the benefit of our tenants.
“These recent projects have included a major gas retrofit project, in 2018, introducing the park to mains gas and a choice of suppliers, and energy efficiency measures for many of the older park homes.
“I would also pay tribute to Hazel Hill, sustainable energy officer at Bracknell Forest Council, who has championed energy efficiency measures throughout the borough for a great many years.”
We are no strangers to picking up awards; previously, we won the social responsibility award at the National Energy Efficiency & Healthy Homes Awards in 2017, and the boiler and heating project award at the National Energy Efficiency Awards in 2019.
About Warfield Park
Warfield Park is one of the region’s best-kept secrets. Set in 90 acres of mature and maintained parkland, Warfield Park is one of the largest parks of its kind in the UK with more than 500 park homes. Of these, over 450 are privately owned and 75 rented. As one of the most prestigious park home addresses in the country, demand for new homes at Warfield Park is high with long waiting lists to both purchase and rent park homes.
