Wishing you all a Happy Holiday

For many of us, 2020 will be a difficult year to forget however hard you try. The year started positively with everyone looking forward to achieving their goals and sticking to those resolutions. As one of the most prestigious Residential Park Home addresses in the UK we spent many of our efforts this year making sure that our vulnerable community was protected from the pandemic.

While we have seen tragedy both close to home and throughout the wider world, we have also learned that staying home can also have its benefits. We were able to remain open albeit with limited hours throughout the year to serve our residents – and nothing made us prouder than hearing everyone clapping and banging their pots and pans for the NHS during the summer.

Christmas Office Hours

Please note that we will close on Christmas Eve until 3rd January 2021.

Covid updates

Our very own James Sumner has made sure that our readers are up to date with the latest Covid-19 news and updates since the first lockdown in March. Summarising the complexity of the daily briefs and announcements in his weekly update you can find on our website.

Staying Home

In February we celebrated our executive assistant, Wendy Collas being highly commended for her work on the major gas conversion project. Unfortunately, shortly after, in March our Community Hall was closed in order to keep people safe throughout the lock down and this meant that many of us had to stay home and find things to occupy our time.

In April we managed to switch the majority of residents to email invoicing which helped to keep our community and our staff safe from the risk of infection.

With all this extra time and some rather glorious weather this summer we found ourselves spending a lot of it in our gardens. At Warfield Park we are blessed with having private gardens in which to enjoy some outside space during the pandemic.

Many of our residents spent the summer making changes and improvements to their outdoor spaces and have really made Warfield Park a beautiful place in which to live. We’d like to take some credit for the beauty as we published our gardening tip articles through the year, but we won’t – it’s all down to the hard work of our residents.

As the nights drew in and temperatures dropped, we found ourselves in front of the television and taking full advantage of our Netflix subscriptions, catching up on TV we’d missed and binge watching the new shows we told you about.
